Man killed for hitting bum note
A Filipino man has been killed for singing out of tune at a karaoke bar. Philippines clearly leading the world in karaoke policy making.
The man, Romy Baligula, was ripping through some stirring pop classics at the Jullives “videoke” bar, when a security guard took offence to his bold interpretations and began an argument that ended with him shooting Baligula in the chest with a .38 revolver.
“Sure people are going to criticise me for perhaps taking things a tad too far” said the security guard, “but what the media won’t do is report the positives. Not one person in the bar screwed up the lyrics to “Livin’ On A Prayer” again after that, and the rendition of “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go” from the girls at table 29 was in my opinion, even better than the original”.
